The story...
They say it happened deep in an ancient forest —
Two skilled woodcutters set out at dawn, axes in hand, fueled by the same goal: to fell more trees than the other before sunset.
The first was relentless. From the moment the sun rose, he swung and swung — powerful, tireless, unstoppable.
No breaks. No pauses. Just brute force and determination.
The second did something strange.
Every couple of hours, he stopped. Sat.
And pulled out a sharpening stone.
He took his time — calm, focused, methodical.
Then, back to work.
By dusk, the forest fell silent.
The first woodcutter, exhausted and blistered, looked over — and couldn’t believe his eyes.
The second had cut down far more trees, and looked… ready to keep going.
Stunned, he asked,
“How did you beat me? I never stopped swinging.”
The second smiled.
“Because I never stopped sharpening.”
Over a couple of weeks, I went a little silent on social media.
Not because I was stuck — but because I was sharpening.
Sharpening my skills.
Sharpening my ideas.
